  1. Updated. Old firms are now excluded from Scottish League cup, also remove the top 3 qualification spots in SPL so that teams don't get marked as qualified when they actually haven't. I'm going to play around with adding the old firm into the Champions Group rather than having a new stage added. Will see how that works out.
  2. Yes the U21s and U18s are picked up by England. I'll add the ignore statement for Viaplay cup in the next version. For the qualified teams, I guess I can removed the top playoff qualification rule so that this doesn't happen, and then have the champions playoff select the teams by league position instead. This is how it was done in rusty's Wales file. But yeah I had a similar thought to you about the champions group, but the fixture congestion for old firm would be too much. Unless maybe you manage the split to be 3 for the champions group and 9 for the relegation group or something like that.
  3. Updated file so the Champions Playoff will always have 3 teams, regardless of whether or not any one of the old firm clubs are relegated. The venues are now marked as Neutral.
  4. This is work inspired and based off of what rusty217 did with his Welsh EPL teams in Europe/Cymru Premier Championship playoff database. The old firm teams are put into the Premier League and have them qualify for Europe via a playoff with the winner of the Scottish Premier League. Additional English teams are relegated to make room for the old firm teams based on their respective standings in the 2022/23 season. Similarly additional teams from the Scottish League system are promoted to fill in the 2 missing spots left by the old firm. Scottish Champions Playoff At the end of the SPL season the first place team enters into a playoff with the Scottish clubs in the Premier League to contest the SPL Trophy and also European spots. If the old firm teams are relegated from the Premier League than they do not participate in the Champions Playoff. So if both Rangers and Celtic are relegated to the Championship, then the winner of the SPL league is crowned the champion. The teams play 1 round of games in a group of 2/3 at Netural venues. (Although I haven't figured out how to actually mark them as Neutral) The European spots are given based on the Champions Playoff positions and then the SPL positions. In this instance the UCL info marker will display in the English Premier League table: Feel free to try it out and let me know if you encounter any bugs. For future plans I am thinking about expanding the Champions Playoff to atleast 4 teams and if none of the old firm are in it, then it will just be 4 SPL clubs. I also haven't figured out how to make the Champion Playoff games to be marked as Neutral so if anyone knows please let me know. EDIT: figured out how to do neutral venues, will test and update the file shortly. Versions 1.02 - Old firms are now excluded from Scottish League cup, also remove the top 3 qualification spots in SPL so that teams don't get marked as qualified when they actually haven't 1.01 - Updated file so the Champions Playoff will always have 3 teams, regardless of whether or not any one of the old firm clubs are relegated. The venues are now marked as Neutral. 1.0 - Released Old firm in premier league 1.02.fmf
  5. Does anyone know how to change the username in the FM24 data editor? I want to publish my custom data file but want to change the username. Thanks
  6. I don't know about Scott Bain, but guys like Stephen Welsh and Mikey Johnston did not train in England but got England HG status. Not sure why some got it and some didn't. Future newgens also have English HG status rather than Scotland.
  7. Anyways I think I've hijacked this thread long enough, I'll start a new one and continue the discussion there. I'll be release the file as soon as I'm done testing.
  8. Well actually for some reason the game automatically adds English homegrown status to all the Scottish players on Celtics and Rangers. So it solves the issue for England homegrown rules as well as the European registration rules. Here's a screenshot of Celtic's registration in the premier league.
  9. It's not the european fixture rules, but the english league's 8 homegrown player rule since Scottish players don't can't as homegrown in England.
  10. I think probably the only thing we can do about this is to change the English match squad rules from 8 homegrown players to max 17 foreign players. It's not ideal but can't think of any other ideas. Or just remove the homegrown rule completely. EDIT: Actually forgot that the Championship uses 8 homegrown players from Nation or Club. So the premier league will change the homegrown rule to use that. That's probably the best option.
  11. Hmm I didn't know the homegrown rule was coded to nation rather than continental cup nation, but I think it would still be fun to play. Given the resources of the EPL the old firm teams should be able to help Scotland move up the uefa coefficient ladder.
  12. Nice idea, someone should definitely do this for Celtic and Rangers playing in England but qualifying for Europe via Scotland.
  13. So what exactly does league reputation effect? Does it put a cap on your club's reputation? Let say I take a south american club and I keep winning the FIFA CL, would my team's reputation go all the way to the top?
  14. I haven't played far enough to notice but does anyone know if the league reputation still moves up and down with this database?
