Editing players to join in january?problems?

In the in-game editor i edited bridge,defoe,diarra all to move to their new respective clubs in January.However when i start the game with my new database the symbol "TRN" isnt beside their name to join these clubs.Anybody else have problems with this?

Also i changed Ramos to Real,Redknapp to Spurs etc... and it worked!

Why wont it work for future transfers for players?

You used an in game editor, but then loaded up the game?

If you set the move for in january it will happen then and the players will have the little TRN sign next to them,

Are you patched to 9.2?

i think its 9.0 i just used the in game editor nothing else!do i have to set new job=player at the bottom for it to work?

If you're on an unpatched editor, it's a known issue. You should either patch to 9.2 OR get the editor patch 1.1. Either or, but 9.2 includes the editor patch.

I'll walk you through installing it if you like. Have you a mac or pc? Have you Worldwide Soccer Manager or Football Manager?

Ok, you will need to download this: http://rapidshare.de/files/41170669/FM2009_v9.2.0_Patch_Installer.exe

You obviously choose the free option instead of premium and wait the amount of seconds it says.

Then enter the code is says and just download.

The next thing you need is to download WinRar unless you already have it.

If you don't have it download it from here.

Once you have it downloaded just install it.

When you have it installed let me know.

You can choose English (assuming you don't want it in any of the other languages)

The next thing is to right click on the 9.2.0 patch you just downloaded and from the menu that appears, choose extract here.

Wait until it is extracted and then double click on the new icon that appears of the extracted patch.

A window should appear and should see an update button. Click that.

Wait until it updates and then click finished or done.

Make sure you do not have the game or editor running when doing this.

Let me know how you get on with that.

(extract here) isnt coming up when i left click it.

also when i downloaded the 2nd one i didnt have an option to install!just run or open folder it said

the two files are saved on my downloads though!

Yeah first you need to install WinRar (the 2nd download) before you can do the rest. Just click on the 2nd downloaded file and choose run. You should then see some screens which you just go through and it will install.

When you right click on it what appears?

okay i opened it and i clicked update and it updated 353 files!is that right?

Yeah the patch fixes many bugs that were in the game initially.

Everything it does can be found here.

You will also have another database which is updated as at December. There is most likely to be another one next month which will fix bugs and another updated the database that will include the transfers you are doing now.
