Windowed Mode..?

So, the game keeps crashin when in full screen when i click submit team on the match menu. Iv heard playing windowed mode will prevent this problem. How do i put my game into windowed mode?

Preferences -> Display and Sound.

I have tried that, however it stil stays full screen, all that happens is thr writing etc gets smaller...?

Try this:

1. Right click on the FM09 icon on your desktop & click properties.

2. In the target field, add "-windowed -small_screen" at the end of the target, with a space between the target & "-windowed -small_screen" & obviously no quotation marks.

3. Click ok & you should be able to play in windowed mode next time you run FM09

Also, you should probably have FM09 off when doing this.

Thanks, however it says the target name is not valid, make sure the path and file name are correct?

Make sure you made no mistakes in adding that bit to the end of the target. It should read like this:

"C:\Program Files\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2009\fm.exe" -windowed -small_screen

Is that the exact target that you have? Also, are you using a PC or a Mac & did you activate with Steam or UniLoc?

Im using a Laptop (not Mac) and yes i activated it through Steam. Currently it reads:

"C:\Program Files\Steam\Steam.exe" -applaunch 10540

Where should i add that end bit?

I'm not sure if it works with Steam as I activated with UniLoc. Try copying & pasting this:

"C:\Program Files\Steam\Steam.exe" -applaunch 10540 -windowed -small_screen

I'm not sure if this will work, but it's worth a try & can do no harm. Just go back to the original target if it doesn't work.
