Grimoz Posted December 17, 2008 Share Posted December 17, 2008 Just wondering who has been your greatest bargain signing that has produced incredible results in any of the FM games. In FM08 I signed Ashley Grimes for my Rochdale team from Manchester City on a free transfer after having him on loan for 6 months, after the signing he went on to total 38 goals for the season with 15 assists and was only beaten to the golden boot award by his team mate Chris Dagnall who scored 41. I won the league by a mile and got promoted, in the next season the roles were reversed with Grimes (who i made captain) scoring 42 and Dagnall 33, we missed promotion by 1 point. Not bad for a player with mediocre stats and coming to a League 2 team from a Premier League Team. Even if he did miss most of his 3rd season with a broken leg.
