January Slump.

Well before January i went 13 games unbeaten with lyon, a few draws involved, but nothing major.

Now in january alone i have lost 2 won just 1. I know not a shocking slump....yet!

My first loss was by league newcomers so i was pretty appalled at what my team were doing.

I was just wondering if anybody else has a mid season rough patch?

Aswell as also combating it.

P.s. i know there was a similar thread, but i didnt want to hijack it as this is slightly different.

I think this is common for alot of teams. I know I tend to overplay my best players a bit and this is the time of the year it finally catches up to them. It's not just tactics, it's morale, form and condition.

I remember when I used to have a team promoted from the Championship to the Prem, they only played 38 games the entire year. They played at nearly 100% every match and their ratings were very high through the squad. The next season when I had european football, plus cup runs I played almost 60 matches and their ratings were much lower.
