bbuullddoogg
…and applied for League 1 Colchester and to my surprise was given the job. Expected to make the playoffs and given 40k to spend. Sold a 90k player for 180k and bought an Australian central defender for 150k. We had a great start to the season with a 5-0 home league win over Northampton and then a 4-1 at L2 Aldershot in the league cup. After a couple more league games, we were drawn away to WBA in the league cup. Amazingly we went 2-0 up after half an hour but the home team clawed their way back to 2-2. Then in the 90th the unthinkable happened and Dean Hammond scored to send the away fans into delerium. Looking good in the league and into the 3rd round of the league cup! bbuullddoogg
Yep. Took over Lewes (as they had just been promoted to the BSP) and then resigned.

bbuullddoogg
Things are going really well. We weren't super consistent in the league for a while but did well in the cups. Now approaching the half way point in my first season and we're getting much more consistent. Now 2nd in the league which is great but also we're in the 2nd round of the FA cup (away to Bradford), the 5th round of the league cup (away to Ipswich) and the southern semi-final of the St Johnstone's Paint (home to Bournemouth). Really stoked about league cup form. Won away to Charlton in extra time in the last round. So still going strong in 4 competitions!!! Been a bit lucky with injuries which is just as well as I play 2 games every single week! Come on the Colchester!!!
