santy001
Not entirely sure why this is, but I'm in november of the first season at Stoke and club legends Gordon Banks and Sir Stanley Matthews have been delegated from their legend status to favoured personnel, if they were in icons at all then it was a very short stay (yet the club icons themselves are still there), now I can understand perhaps 20 - 30 years down the line from now they are no longer quite the legends they once were in fans eyes, but surely it takes more than 4 months for the clubs legends to lose their enamoured status that they've held for well over 20 years. Irchard
Do you know what the word delegate means?
Doruk
He probably meant relegated.
santy001
Sunday afternoon and ive been out drinking with the family to celebrate my 20th lol, but still it is something of an issue, it isn't realistic for some of the biggest players in a clubs history to effectively become nothing more than alongside someone who played for the club for 12 months and is endeared to the fans but hasn't done anything substantial.
