homerjnick
Mate, you only have 300 idd MG of RAM and only 64MB on your graphics. That is not good enough, you need 512MB of RAM on your XP system and at least 128MB of RAM on your Graphics Card!
MachinegunHead
homerjnick has hit the nail on the head. You really need to update that dated computer. Although you may want to try updating your graphics card first, which may just work. Even then, the game will not run very well on your computer. homerjnick
Sorry, your PC only has 320MB of RAM, not good enough but your graphics card is nowhere good enough.
BadBoy
so does dat mean even 2d wouldnt work?
Scott McC
The game will absolutely not work with that setup. You only have 320MB of RAM and XP needs a minimum of 512Mb, and even with that you won't be running many leagues at decent speed. As for the graphics card, that looks to be an in-built chip and with only 64Mb on it that won't be enough, as it looks like the error message is telling you. Ben Jones
The truth is they don't know. There are people with the exact same set-up as me who can't get the 3d graphics to work. It's looking like a quite hectic release.
Scott McC
nick2plimmer - the 82945g is above the minimum specs, but is still an on-board graphics chip rather than a dedicated one (and only has 32Mb dedicated memory) so you might want to download the demo and arrange a match with your reserves first to try it out. homerjnick
Don't you need directx 10 for fm 2009 or am I getting mixed up? Your getting mixed up, you need DirectX 9.0c. DirectX 10 is for Vista.

Scott McC
No he has 256MB of Graphics Card memory. He's got 32Mb of dedicated memory and 192Mb of shared memory (memory that the graphics card can borrow from main RAM) according to the "Graphics" section. Where does it say 256Mb? have download demo but no 3d match Not sure if you can try adjusting the amount of memory your card can borrow from RAM, but that might help. On-board graphics are always tricky. Not to sound stupid, but are you definitely trying the right thing to switch to the 3D match? Can you check the 3D match setting is ticked in your preferences under Display and Sound?

Scott McC
In your preferences too, check it's set for low detail and untick names, stadium and sky. Better first check you have the latest drivers for your Intel card. Go here and click on, "do i have the latest drivers?" http://support.intel.com/support/graphics/intel945g/
BadBoy
ok scott what would i need to buy to make it work
Scott McC
Well you'll need more RAM for starters. For XP you need 512Mb minimum, but I'd recommend 1Gb as a minimum. And then check here for help with the error message: http://community.sigames.com/showthread.php?t=54801 I believe they're having some issues with on-board graphics cards (like yours), so I'd wait for a patch or confirmation that someone with the same card has it working.
