Dingus
Hi! This is not a tech support query, per se! I'm interested in setting up FM09 on a Linux box, and was just wondering who is currently playing on Linux, and if it is a good/bad experience? my old PC is knackered, and barely plays FM08 - had to revert back to FM06, and seems to perform better; basically, the hardware is knackered, and really needs to be upgraded.... i'll be looking to do this Oct/Nov/Dec, and maybe trial whatever demo is released on Linux, to see what the craic is! so anyway, which Linux setup is suggested, and is a 64bit setup preferred over 32bit? I have OpenSUSE 10.1 and 10.3 off magazine cover discs, (v11 is available now), and one or two others, but need some more info, before I commit! Jehanzeb
Use Ubuntu 8.04 .... install WINE.... then install FM 2008 and add the updates and run the game !
sixsecondsleft
I had FM08 running on Fedora 9, and didn't seem to have any problems.
