Wage bill jumps 20 mil?!

Alright guys,

So I've always been the type of player that keeps his wages in check.

So I'm Villa, wage bill per year is 42 mil.

I've just completed my 4th season and clinched my 1st title for Villa.

Now I then see my yearly wage bill has gone up by 20 mil!!!

I hadn't given anyone in the team a clause for rises in pay what so ever.

So I'm baffled as to how its jumped by all most 50%.

Any ideas?

In the past I have had something similar but where all the currency values increased by a fixed percentage. Try changing the currency and then change it back, see if that fixes the issue.

If you have a save before the wage increase re-run it to see if anything stands out as the trigger. I had a problem with youngsters in my reserve team having their 'wage increase after x games' activate when I played them in an end of season dead rubber, FM counted their reserve appearances & a single senior side appearance activated their pay increase.
