Mr_Demus
Placed it here instead of bug section, as I wasn't sure whether it was a bug or not. Around the 1st of August, I got a news item telling which stadia bid for the EL final 2016. 3 of them were decent and realistic, but the other 2 puzzled me. Olympiastadion (Helsinki) and Phillip II (Macedonia). The latter perhaps being the weirdest. Is it an error, or would Macedonia actually bid for such a big event? Mike7077
The Phillip II Arena in Skopje, Macedonia is in the middle of an ongoing reconstruction phase. When completed, it will effectively be a spanking new almost 40,000-seater stadium. Certainly of the calibre to host such a final. It's only speculation on my part, but I wouldn't be surprised if they did bid for the Europa League final in the not-too-distant future.
