Does training a player in new position affect their general training?

I just wanted to know if it is worthwhile or if it affects their form because they are not 100% focused on general training?

it depends on what you want to do with the player, if you dont see them playing their natural position and want to play them somewhere else then you will have to re-train them to play there, if its just an incase situation i would say not to bother. It wont have a huge effect on their training progress.

it works for me i put some players on there own special regimes, to help them play have amazing results going up 1-4 up on around 7-10 stats

it depends, do you plan on playing the players regularly in the new positions? Can then be considered for that position in the first place?

Yes, I will only be training them in a position that is on their position screen. I just want to have cover for injurys/bans and save some money.

to save money then yes it could be a good idea, how well can they play the positions you want to re-train them to? Other thing to remember is if they do not play there regularly, you would have to keep training them in that position, otherwise they could lose the ability to retain that position.
