Developing a young keeper.

Recommended Posts

Ok, so I've never really figured out the best strategy for developing a keeper and curious what others do. I mean you can't really give a keeper first-team time as easily as other players, so is the only real way to keep them developing to send them out on loan repeatedly, or do people send them out semi-regularly risking losses?

I play them from the start (16 yo) as they are not outfield players to get tired or get injured that often

if you have a decent back line it's even better

example: Iker Casillas in real life replaced Bodo Illgner putting him on the bench at only 18 , also holds the record for the youngest goalkeeper to play a champions league final at 19
