scouting after promotion

when does you're new scouting criteria begin after you are promoted. Obviously your reputation should go up and the players you scout will be different.

Does this begin when you win the promotion or on a specific date?

i believe it is based on results and is immediate

In past FMs it didnt change till June 21st or whatever it was. The day after the end of season summary. Which isnt the best.

Unless FM 11 is the first time they have changed it to the day you win promotion or whatever I'm guessing its the same.

I've experimented with this a bit and now (as opposed to previous versions) it does seem to kick in immediately that promotion is ensured. No more waiting until mid-June until everyone realizes you're up!

All we need now is the scouting stars on your shortlist to update, so you don't have to re-scout every eejit on your books, and for the board/finance system to recognise it earlier as well. At the moment, you have to wait for mid to late June before your tfr/wages budget is reset. There is no consideration before this as to how much more income will come in and how much of the wages budget will be freed up when you release players. ITRW, clubs promoted via the playoffs lament the lost weeks in the trankser market on their automatically promoted rivals. In FM whether you're automatically promoted or not, there's no difference. Even signing Bosmans and frees is difficult before mid to late June as the board will only let you offer two pound fifty per year in wages, despite the fact you are now effectively premier league and are planning to release a bunch of highly paid championship standard players.
