Assistant Manager

Currently Sevilla manager and the AM did not renew his contract.

Coton will not advise on opponents tactics (i.e. go in hard, tight marking etc etc)

Is there a tick box I am missing in the team settings or is this advise dependant on the Assistant you employ?

The AM usually adises you about the opposition without being told to do it.

There is a box you can check in team settings that will automatically apply any instructions your AM has to the next match.

Maybe you have a bug?

To advise on matters tactical, an assistant needs his Tactical Knowledge attribute to be at least 10.

The higher this attribute, the more things he'll advise and the better the quality of that advice may be.

For me, a good assistant manager needs to have:

Tactical Knowledge

Man Management

Motivation

Judging Player Ability

With bigger clubs, it's beneficial if you can get someone with 16+ in all these attributes.

Other things to consider, are his tactical preferences. I prefer to have someone with preferences similar to my own as a "second opinion" to my own decisions. Alternatively, you could use someone with slightly different preferences, to give you feedback on more defensive, more attacking setups, for example.

God we need a manual when we buy the DvD box version, how do people learn all these things if they dont use this forum ????
