Dawsey
Hi Simple enough really. I've signed a few players for at the end of the season. Is it right that my transfer budget has taken these transfers into account and deduted them? If I have £5m and spent £4m on various players for end of season it shouldn't allow me to sign another player for over £1m? Also do agent fees/signing on fees come out of budget? Sorry for all the questions but just need to confirm. Regards Jonathan
chris23
pretty sure it takes your money straight away due to the fact that in a space of a year a club can go from being financially stable to broke i.e portsmouth notts county
bigdanio
Yes, the transfer fees will immediately come off your budget when you confirm the deal. This is to stop you not being able to afford the transfers once they go through - for example you might have a budget of £5m, and sign 4 players for £4m each and then come the day the window opens you would be comitted to £16m worth of deals that you can't afford. If you go to the boardroom and then finances you can look at expenditure. I think agents fees might be separate to transfer budget but I am not sure. Dawsey
Thanks to both of your replies. That's great news because I was worried about not having the funds to complete deals. I know if you do payments over 48 months that this does roll over to future seasons budgets being reduced etc.
