Player signed, but not?

I've just signed a player, but, it shows up on his profile as a free agent. Whenever I try to give him a contract it just says 'in talks' and .

he stays registered but a free agent

Can anyone help?

Give it a few days.

It usually takes a few days from agreeing a contract to the player actually joining your team.

i had the very same problem dude. In my case, i signed a young DC for $1.5M and one day before joining my club, he simply went on loan to another club!! i was like "uhmmmm ok?" so i decided to wait, as it was a 6 months loan. As soon as he joined my club, the same thing happened to me, no matter how many times i tried to offer him a new contract, it just said 'in talks with...'. so i played with him for 1 entire season, he was supposed to be a backup for me, BUT i couldn't make him "avaliable for reserves" for whatever reason. I also couldn't release him on a free transfer, because......he didn't have a contract with me, even though i played with for 1 year.

Yesterday i was sick of the situation, so i tried one more time to offer him a new contract, but this time i offered him very low wages, his agent declined my offer, THEN i was able to release him on a free transfer...:^P

i still hope i can sing him again anytime soon, but it was a shame, he was a good DC...
