Dynamic League Reputation (Asian competitions)

Started a league with Nepal (created in the Nations Rule), used the league that was already in the db as the main league.

But when I start the game, the league rule doesnot show, Top team qualifies for the AFC Presidents' Cup, the thing is that for three or four seasons the above thing happens and suddenly in season 5 the winner of the league qualifies to the AFC Presidents' Cup, and it does that for another 3-4 seasons (which the Nepali clubs win), but again it goes to the same thing, the winners don't qualify and hence the League reputation falls.

I went on holiday mode till 2047, but still the Nepali clubs were playing in the Presidents Cup sometimes only. So the DLR can't work in this situation and they can't get to the AFC Confeds and the ACL.

Any though on this matter?

Why the only sometimes got into the Presidents' Cup I don't know thats probably a bug in the nation rules or way President's cup was set up.

As for the more prestigious Asian competitions, this is Asia not Europe where there is a nice co-efficient system to determine placings. Its a lot lot more complex in how its decided which leagues are in which competition in real life and the exact rules are not published. AFC get together every couple of years to decide which leagues should be where using some strange system that no one knows the workings of and so this isn't in the game. The result is leagues that currently play in Presidents' cup can never win the champions league, ones in confederation cup can but only if they win that competition in order to gain entrance to champions league the next season.

Nations in the Presidents' Cup can't 'promote' to the AFC Cup or AFC Champions League. That stopped after FM09 IIRC when the AFC announced the new format for continental competitions.

The spots for the Champions League and AFC Cup are hardcoded because there's no coefficient system in place. The assessment rankings still haven't been published yet (the AFC said they would be published in Nov. 2010, and there's less than 3 days till December...) It's a confusing system that's new and no one really knows outside the AFC how they do their rankings and this month should be the first time these rankings are updated.

But with the DLR there should be a way, no?

And the main problem here is that, the president cup's setup, every 2 seasons the teams go in the comp but then in the third they are not drafted in. I think this may be due to the fact that the game wants to place the Nepali team in the AFC CUP but since the AFC Cup and President's Cup are not scheduled in the same date there is a problem.

Another thing is that, every Nation has different timings of their respective seasons and its such a mess.

Anyways, thanks guys, was hopin to utliize the DLR this season, but t wont work.

The guys in the Editors' Hideaway forum might have a better idea.
