Peter G
There's two players that play for American/Canadian teams in my game and I went to sign them but it said that they were draft protected, does this mean that for that season they can't be signed outside the league until the draft deadline is over? Magnakai Haaskivi
I always thought that draft protected means that they've been protected by their team from joining an expansion team during the expansion draft. Link
thebluesigns
Players under 18 in US can't transfer from non-MLS teams before the draft has taken place.
Peter G
The player I'm trying to sign is 19, I still can't approach him.
mlindqui43
He could be in college still or on another amateur club. However, the league (mls) can sign a player in which he becomes draft protected until a team drafts him in the MLS superdraft
