dieguito
Hi ! I have both a PC and a Mac (MacPro, 2 x 2.66 GHz, 3 Go Ram). I tried the demo on both at the same time to see wich one was faster and the Mac was really faster than my old PC... as I expected. The problem is that when I try to see a match in 3D on the Mac, it lags a lot ! Don't understand why as I have 5 stars in the System 3D rating (Preferences->Display & Sound). To avoid the lag I have to remove "crowds" and "weather effects" and to put the Graphical Detail to medium ! Is that normal ? I really hope that it can be solved ! Thanks... Machetero
Same here. Macbook Pro 13' (2,4GHz, 4G of ram) - 3D works fine only on minimum specs. Otherwise - overheating and lagging. FM10 worked better.

dieguito
probs just the demo mate... Well the problem is that the demo is supposed to have the same code as the retail version ! So the problem could be very annoying !

SI Staff Ant Farley Posted October 27, 2010 SI Staff Share Posted October 27, 2010 How much VRAM does the graphics card have?

Did it with my Nvidia GeForce 9400M and 3D works better now. CPU is still around 80 degrease with cooler at around 4500RPM, but that's not 90 at 6000. FM10 worked better. SI Staff Ant Farley Posted October 27, 2010 SI Staff Share Posted October 27, 2010 Ok thanks for the information. As Machetero says, how does it run with 'Low' detail level but crowds etc turned on?
dieguito
Ok thanks for the information. As Machetero says, how does it run with 'Low' detail level but crowds etc turned on? Good but not perfect... sometimes there are "flashes".
Machetero
Good but not perfect... sometimes there are "flashes". Check coolers if possible (both CPU and video card). they could have gathered some dust.
Onyewu
Ant, Yeah, me too..........I finally spent yesterday trying different scenarios with the graphic settings in Preferences...........I can keep all weather, crowd, in stadium & outer stadium graphics checked, but am forced to run the graphic attributes at "Medium" rather then "Auto-Select" or "High". Runs smooth with these settings. FM09 & 10 ran fine at High or Auto settings. Could be just a demo thing as my computer and graphics are more than capable of handling this game.............. But doesn't everyone want to run the graphics on high to capture the full experience of the game?? Also noticed CPU usage was quite high....FM10 ranged from 80 to 108 CPU units, while FM 11 Demo ranges from 113 - 144 GPU units............and occasionally the processors seem higher than usual. We'll find out how the real FM11 works in 9 days.....yippee!! dieguito
So have we to consider the situation as "normal" or will there be some "fine tuning" that will make the match engine run smoother on our Mac ?
