transferring files help please

I have just bought a new laptop in a view for FM2011 but i would like to know if it's possible to transfer my current saved games, for FM 2010, from my old laptop to the new once i have loaded the game? and how do u do it.

excuse my ignorance but I dont know what that is?

a simple quick guide or a link to somewhere that does show me how to do it would be very helpful

Go into your save game folder, take the file and upload it at http://www.dropbox.com/

Open new computer, download the dropbox app from that same website, log in with the details and download said file

Or just use a USB memory stick

ive tried saving it to a memory stick and transferring it over. to the same location as it was on the old laptop but no luck. while trying to load it, it froze and then said it couldnt load the saved file.

any advice??

could it be to do with not having th esame update on the new game or something else?

Yeah, you need to be using the same (or a later) version of the game, I'm betting that's why it didn't load.

ahhh ok. in the process of uploading the 10.3 patch. just as my previous laptop was running and then will give it another go.
