r0x0r Posted May 22, 2010 Share Posted May 22, 2010 If you are using the same router, you can just connect directly without going online. Well, you may need to be on for Steam's sake, but you know what I mean. Use the more powerful of the two (probably the PC) as the host, make sure "host game" or "use as server" or whatever is ticked, then get the laptop to connect to your internal network IP (192.168.1.something usually) Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
RDXCougar8173 Posted May 23, 2010 Share Posted May 23, 2010 when the HOST has set up a game ready for the other to connect to.The game will appear in the bottom part of the screen when the person connecting goes to JOIN NEW GAME and it will probably have listed THE NAME OF THE SAVE GAME,THE INTERNAL IP YOU ARE USING FOR YOUR ROUTER,AND THE CONNECTION STATUS i.e good,bad excellant etc so then you just click on the bit where it shows all the above and then join game as if you were playing online Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
