Finally! What an insane season! After the first 9 games we were 8th and with no hope of anything decent. Which was ok since our goal this year was to avoid relegation (same as last year when we finished 5th). But something happened and the guys went ape and 2nd and 3rd quarter just dominated everyone. The last 9 games were pain in the bottom as we had to keep that 1 point difference all the time

But we did it and won the title in the very last match.. 2:1 vs Livingston.. with 2 penalties for us.. but still a win is a win

Anyway.. The stupid thing is now that the board had to do a major re-work of our amazing 2000 seater stadium to fit the new requirements, and took 4.5mil. !!! euro for this, which left me with 0 transfer funds for the new season and the team is at money loss as a whole.

We also turned professional which is a plus.. Hope we can make it in the SPL

Well nothing much to say just wanted to share my happyness :D

Congratulations Vermundr. Good luck in the SPL.

I once had a very unsuspected promotion from the Norwegian Second with Skarp. I only finished 3rd but as I was behind two B teams I went up. I had it hard in the next league up and went straight back down. Show me how it's done.

If I was to retry that I'd now get in more experienced players than those I think are talented enough to have us compete. In your first season it's not about trying to do well; it's about trying to survive. A strong defense and a hard midfield are going to get you further than purchasing speedy attackers.

I hear you! I had a hard time the first 20 games in the last season too, being just promoted from the 2nd division. I had the luck to sign an iron DMC from Poland, he was 38 but did an amazing job. As for the rest I had no choice but to use 18-19 year old kids who in 2 years made a nice gelled team - I guess that's what made us a success this year.

SPL will be tough but even if I finish 1 spot above relegation I'll get 1mil. euro, as of now i got 150k for promotion. So it's a win-win situation.
