Squiggy Posted February 12, 2010 Share Posted February 12, 2010 Guys I got to the final of the Carling cup with Charlton, first season in, in which Liverpool beat me 3-0 :-( Anyhow since they finished 2nd do I get there Euro slot ? If the winner has already qualified then the extra place is given to the highest league finisher not to have already qualified. Dont know.John. You just missed out on one of the three places allocated to England unfortunately. 5th place in the Prem always gets a Euro Cup spot. The other two go to the FA Cup and League Cup winners. So because Sunderland just missed out on qualifying via the league, they qualified through winning the Cup. Had you lost the FA Cup to a team finishing above Sunderland you would have qualified as Cup runner up. Hopefully you make it next season! Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
