TheTiger
First of all you need a serious memory upgrade. Upgrade them to 3-4 Gb. Then you need a better graphic card. Sapphire RADEON HD 5670 (512 MB) - this one should give you value for your money and perform well.

DirtyACE
It's not about whether the graphics card is compatible with XP or any other operating system. It's whether it's compatible with the motherboard you have. The latest graphic cards require a PCI Express slot in the motherboard, into which the card goes in. Pretty much any modern computer will have this available. If you decide to upgrade your graphics card, you should also consider the amount of power it will require to run. Some cards will require more power, which sometimes your computer may not have. The power depends on your computer's power supply unit (PSU). If you don't have enough power, then what may happen is that once you install the new card, the computer will still work, but you'll experience random shut downs.
