icarus_oz
Hi people, Well, i'm in my third season with the North Queensland Fury and my marquee player, Robbie Fowler has just retired (after three years of plundering goals!) Anyway, I was going to go player hunting to replace him, only to find out that it seems my promising 21 year old right back has suddenly become my marquee player! I did offer him a new contract (on the advice of my asst man to ward off other clubs) but at no point did i see an option to make him the marquee player! I can't find any info on how the marquee system works - only info in the online manual was for the MLS designated player rule, which is similar, but not the same! So does anyone know how it works??? starvin marvin
The player with the highest wages automatically takes the marquee spot. You can still sign a player to replace Fowler.
icarus_oz
Cheers mate... i still think there should be a better way of doing it... So, in effect, if i sign someone to a higher wage than my current marquee, does that then make them the marquee player?

McLovin
Does anyone know how to select a designated player in FM09?
charlo116
Does anyone know how to select a designated player in FM09? You can't choose the marquee player in the a-league but for the MLS i think when you offer a player a contract you can select designated player.
