Hanson
While scouting for players before the start of the 14/15 season I came across two players at CSKA Moscow who on 1st July had only 6 months left on their contracts. The players are Sandro and Akinfeev who are 25 and 28 respectively. Now I clicked 'Approach to Sign' and negotiated contracts with them both before realizing they were both going to cost me money in compensation. I thought if players were over 24 that they would move on the Bosman Ruling for free. This is not the case and Sandro is costing me £12.75M (Value £9.5M) and Akinfeev £5.25M (Value £3.9M) I can't figure out why they arn't free. Does the Russian League not follow the Bosman Rule? I'm just very confused. I'll post screenshots if necessary.
John Smith
Yeah, it almost happened to me. Luckily I realised before I concluded the transfer.
Hanson
It's lucky that I consider these players to be worth what I'm having to pay for them. Sandro is far better than my current Midfielders and Akinfeev, is well Akinfeev. My scout said said Sandro would need a bid of at least £23M if i'd not gone straight to the contract. Hanson
Ahh OK, IRL does an independent tribunal decide on the value of the player then? In this case it just seems to be 1.34ish times their value.
