Shaka Sangoma
One of my players just announced his retirement and his desire to become a coach, his staff determination is 10, however, as a player his determination is 19. Why should a person have different staff determination from their player determination?

tdpats12
They're almost totally different activities. One is the sport he has been playing all his life and truly loves. The other is... involved with the sport he had played all his life and can't do anymore.
reo hustler
One of my players just announced his retirement and his desire to become a coach, his staff determination is 10, however, as a player his determination is 19. Why should a person have different staff determination from their player determination? Look at his gut. You'd be a lot less determined if you had to carry that lug around too. phnompenhandy
I found this too and thought it strange. I take tdpat's point, but other personality attributes such as professionalism are always the same and following tdpat's logic, you'd think they'd differ too. I see your point, but there are also other stats that you think would be linked, this same playeris rated 16 for influence, but 1 for motivating, I'm not saying that this player should have exactly the same stats, but if he was good at influencing a team and leading them, shouldn't he be at least better than 1 at motivating them? Skoolblowsme
It's a lot different playing than coaching. Maybe he just isn't good at coaching but he can lead by example on the pitch (hence 16 influence). You might be one of the smartest people in the world doesn't mean you have the determination to be a teacher
