tedder_road Posted December 11, 2009 Share Posted December 11, 2009 I took over the San Marino job and, surprise surprise, I lost the first two matches - Euro Qualifiers against Greece and Switzerland. San Marino were ranked the 2nd worst team in the world when I over. I find it pretty incredible that I would get fired for losing to teams far, far, far superior to us, even if we did lose 7-0 and 5-1, that's pretty standard for San Marino! I honestly thought that San Marino fans would just take delight in the fact we actually scored a goal in a competitive fixture, something they rarely if ever do.
