Andy_Shrimper
Can somebody please help and or explain to me what is going on? I've just got FM2010 home. I uninstalled FM2009 fully as I normally do and also deleted the cache. I have inserted 2010, gone through the installation options and soon as it starts to install I get the message attched: http://img691.imageshack.us/i/15452104.jpg/ "Insert new media" "Please insert FM2009 or Select Browse to locate it manually. What on earth is going on? I can't even install it this year. Thanks to anyone who might solve this issue.

Might be to do with your registry files from FM09 Can you please follow this: Finally you will need to edit your registry to remove information Sports Interactive stores there.Windows XP 1: Click on “Start” 2: Click on “Run” 3: In the text prompt box type “regedit” 4: Navigate to: Windows Vista and 7 1: Click on “Start” 2: In the Search box type “regedit” 3: Navigate to: “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\ 4: Delete the “Sports Interactive Ltd” Folder. Also did you install via 'offline' method or through steam?

As I said in my original post though, I did delete the registry files via the method you state. I want to install it via the 'offline' method. I'm slightly frustrated as you can imagine. pjfspurs
I also have this problem. Anyone com up with a solution yet?
Guest PW
Another idea is to do a search on your PC for any left over FM09 files (via start orb - search - then type sports interactive and/or football manager 2009) and delete any ones that are left over from FM09. Then reinstall FM10 and see if it sorts the issue
hq_saipan
Check the Drive Letter of your DVD Drive, make sure it is next to the last Drive Letter of your Hard Drives For example, if you have C, D, E hard drives => then the DVD Drive should be F. Hope that will fix ur problem
LemonTea
Never use the actual programs uninstall feature, it always leaves registry entries and other crud behind, lazy coding on the programmers side? First, google "revo uninstaller" and install it, it is FREE! Re-install FM09, then use revo uninstaller to uninstall FM09, it will delete every file, folder and registry entry associated with FM09, then you can safely install FM10 with no problems. P.S. Revo uninstaller only works on 32bit machines. If your running a 64bit OS, use either Total uninstall or Perfect uninstaller. These will cost money, but they both provide a fully functional 30 day trial version which should get you out of trouble.
