Game Keeps Crashing

Well it's only actually crashed twice so far, but thats two more times than I expect it to crash!

So, my girlfriend bought me Football Manager 2010 today. I spent a couple of hours playing it, and its already crashed on me twice.

Just wondered

a. has anyone else had this problem?

b. is there any way to prevent it from happening/a fix etc

I am running FM10 on a macbook less than six months old so its good enough spec. One crash occurred as soon as i started up the game, the other mid match.

It's probably worth mentioning that FM09 ran perfectly fine, and other than crashing the game runs well enough. Also, i have no other programs open, just FM10.

As everyone can no doubt imagine, this was massively annoying having played the first 4/5 games of the season (which had gone well!) and also made a couple of decent signings. I hope someone can provide some advice/a fix for this problem as I hate nothing more than having to replay games on FM.

It possible you have some bad ram in your macbook.

When apps crash giving these errors thats usually the cause.

There are other things it could be tho. But I'd start by ruling out bad ram.

If remember says your ram is good, it is. Must be software related then.

Similar problems here. Contant crashes and just received a "save game could not be loaded" now. Great work SI!

Im having the exact same problem. I played a couple of hours, shut the computer down and when i opened it again fm wouldn't work. It displayed the message "Your computer is running dangerously low on memory, please quit fm 2010 and free up some memory" followed by the f 80362 bug. I'm using a perfectly good condition Macbook Pro 2.26 ghz, 4 gb ram and 120 gb hd. So the specs should not be a problem. Can we please get some help here SI????????? Considering I haven't touched a mac since my uni-days this is kinda far fetched but... When I had that problem on my old laptop (PC) changing the virtual memory fixed it. Not really sure why you should run low with 4 GB installed though.

I'm glad other people are having this problem too (not in a haha you cant play it either way), but because at least this shows its not just me. I mean, it really puts me off playing the game when i have to save it every match just incase i get a crash.

Oh my... i had the game running in the background which i was quickly checking if anyone had responded to this thread, and i got another crash message from FM10!

I'm very disappointed by this SI all i want to do is play without it crashing! And i've not heard anything back.

I should actually mention that i haven't yet updated to patch 1, but i'm going to now, and i'll let everyone know whether this prevents the problem (although i dont see that it would because as far as i can see the patch is mainly updating content).

I have exactly the same problem, and exactly the same error message! I am using a 2008 macbook pro. I saw another thread with lots of mac users complaining of the same issue.
