matt_132
Does anyone else experience this? you have a throw in in the oppositions third. your player throws it towards the goal line, where your player challenges for it and flicks it out for a goal kick, nowhere near the goal. This is ridiculous as your player irl would try to flick it backwards across goal, and the opposition would try to head it back. there is no way the ball should go out at right angles to the goal line. this is a big problem. Plus, these throw ins often appear as key highlights when nothing at all happens. btw I dont set specific instructions for throw ins, but it also happens from open play when the ball goes high in the air. look out for it as you play and youll see.. AB-forever
I've seen many times and it is indeed annoying and unrealistic.
T3hB3n...
The amount of throw-ins my team concedes when under pressure is just... oh my gosh, it just ruins match day sometimes.
PGB_SPURS_FM09
I agree, there are a couple of other things like this too. 1. Many times a full back will seem to be in a lot of space at the back after a failed attack by the opposotion, yet he kicks it out for a corner when nobody is near him at all! Atleast maybe put it out for a throw. Even in local saturday matches you get told(by your team-mates) you have time to turn and clear it upfield! 2. When a ball has gone over the top of your defence and your full-back and their winger/whatever is chasing after the ball. The full back crazily decides to put the ball out for a corner when there is still a third of the pitch to go. If in doubt... kick it out for a throw-in!?!? I would have thought they would have gotten rid of simple things like this by now, hopefully its fixed for FM10

It's more annoying when there's a massively over-hit through ball over the top, that's clearly unreachable by anyone but Superman and possibly the roadrunner, but your defender decides to scythe down the striker who's chasing it, giving away a dangerously-positioned, and dangerously-stupid, free-kick
