This season I got to the quarter finals of the Champions League and was narrowly knocked out. Meanwhile Marseille went on to win the competition. Then I got my message saying the European Rankings. It said that I dropped 1 place? Then I sorted in order of points and MArseille weren't top??? any ideas? Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
Ross McGregor Posted August 3, 2009 Share Posted August 3, 2009 It is possible that other teams played more games in Europe and won more, thus earning extra points. For example if I take a team from the 1st qualifying rounds to the final against (Marseille?) who entered at the group stages, I'd expect to have earned more points for doing so. Also if two teams start in the same stage but one gets through to the next round by drawing a few games and the other by winning all - I'd expect a point difference.
