Taken from Football Manager + a few additions:

Founded in 1985, West Ham United are a professional English club currently playing in the English Premier Division. The club play there home games at Upton Park and possess good training facilities and an excellent youth setup. The Club is affectionately known as The Hammers and retains a fierce rivalry with Tottenham Hotpsur, Millwall and Chelsea.

The club enjoyed probably there best spell in the 1960s. Although now enduring a twenty-seven year barren spell, having not won a competition since 1981. The Hammers still have a history of which they can be justly proud. West Ham won the Cup Winners Cup [no longer exists] in 1965 and finished runners-up on one occasion, won the FA Cup in 1964, 1975 and 1980 and finished runners-up on two occasions, won the English 2nd tier in 1958 and 1981 and finished runners-up on three occasions, and finished runners-up in the League Cup in 1966 and 1981. There highest ever League finish is 3rd in the English top tier in 1986.

The Squad:

GK:

Robert Green - A great goalkeeper and definite first choice, could also become England's number 1.

Jan Lustuvka - On-loan from Shakhtar, will provide good back-up although it's doubtful I will take up the £1.7mil agreed price.

Jimmy Walker - Unneeded, will be looking to sell.

DR:

Lucas Neill - Good player and team captain, will be first choice right-back although will turn 31 this season.

Jonathan Spector - Good back-up. Out for 6 months however.

DL:

Herita Illunga - Only recognised left-back, Ilunga is on loan from Toulouse will a view to a £1.5mil permanent switch.

DC:

Matthew Upson - Vice-Captain and best centre-back at the club. Him staying fit could be key to our season.

Daniel Gabbidon - Good player when fit, not sure he's first team quality though.

James Collins - Adequate back-up when fit.

MR:

Valon Behrami - New signing and looks quality. Can also play at right back and give Neill a run for his money there. High hopes for him.

ML:

Luis Boa Morte - Best current left mid in squad with a lot of experience at 30. I don't rate him however.

Savio - Young talent with high potential. Also hefty appearance fee clauses.

Walter Lopez - Not good enough. Will be looking to sell.

MC:

Scott Parker - Star central midfielder who can also play defensive mid.

Mark Noble - Young local mid. Great player now and can only get better.

Jack Collison - Young player with huge potential. High hopes for this lad.

Keiron Dyer - Injury prone, huge wages and currently out for 6 months. Will decide on his future when he recovers.

Radoslav Kovac - Great Defensive Mid on loan from Spartak Moscow. £3mil agreed price may be to high for a permanent switch though.

ST:

Dean Ashton - Great striker, will miss start of season however as out for 2 months. Keeping him fit could be vital to our season.

Carlton Cole - Good back-up although his scoring record is a worry.

Fred Sears - Talented youngster who has come through the academy. May loan out to Championship to gain experience.

David Di Michele - On-loan from Torino will be good back-up. At 32 I will however not be purchasing him for the agreed price of £3.4mil.

Diego Tristan - Not needed and will be looking to sell.

Notable players out on loan; Calum Davenport, Julien Faubert, Nigel Quashie and Lee Bowyer.

Transfer Targets:

After eyeing up the squad it is clear we are lacking in a few areas. Going into the season I will be looking for a Left-back, Centre-back, Right-mdifielder and Left-midfielder as priorities.

A good month where I was happy with the transfers I bought in. Budget couldn't stretch for a new Left mid but Boa Morte has been in fine form so hopefully that continues. Nobody was willing to take Lopez or Tristan due to there recent arrivals annoyingly so there still hanging around. Good wins against teams I would expect us to beat and a spirited performance against the reigning champions. Mark Noble also won young player of the month after his 3 impressive displays.

Not the best set of results in the world. The two months began with an undeserved win over Everton and went downhill. Ashton came back from injury but keeps picking up small niggling injuries and having to come off, I just can't buy a goal at the minute but the defence however has stayed solid. Also failed to meet Boards wish of a League Cup Quarter-Final but they understand the loss to Arsenal. We are however suffering a lot from injuries at the moment. Here's hoping for a better November/December. Jack Collison also picked up young player of the month for October.

The Liverpool game may just have turned the season around having not won the previous 9 matches we'd played. Disappointed with the Hull and Wigan results as they are both fighting it out at the bottom, but really just glad to be scoring again. Saying that we haven't kept a clean sheet these past 2 months so it's the opposite to the previous two! Ashton of course would have to get injured in the Spurs match after finding his form, out for 4-5 weeks so misses next month. Apart from him though everyone has come back from injuries; major and minor. Although those with major ones like Dyer, Neill will have to gain match fitness.

Transfer Targets:

Will have to sell in order to buy after my summer spending. Hopefully get rid of some deadwood, but as for purchases there's not one position I'm desperately needing a player so I'm not sure yet.

@ AcidBurn - Haha thanks, unfortunately I keep getting the song stuck in my head now!

January & February:

Transfers In:

Herita Ilunga for £1.5mil from Toulouse FC.

Tom Evans* on a Free Transfer from Toronto FC.

Transfers Out:

Walter Lopez to Burnley for £1mil.

Diego Tristan to Leicester for £500k.

Tony Stoke to Shrewsbury for £100k.

* Tom Evans is a 19 year-old Canadian regen who my scout found scouting the world, decided to get him as he was given 2* ability and 4* potential and I was struggling with injuries up front, but when signed Steve Clarke gave him 3* and 5* and his value rocketed to £4.5mil although it has since dropped to £4.2mil. Could be a good find.

Results:

FAC 3rd Round - Birmingham 2 - 1 West Ham; C.Cole.

West Brom 1 - 1 West Ham; C.Cole.

West Ham 3 - 3 Fulham; Collison, Di Michele, Noble.

Man Utd 2 - 0 West Ham.

West Ham 3 - 0 Everton; Collison, Noble x2.

West Ham 1 - 3 Newcastle; Parker.

Bolton 2 - 0 West Ham.

Stoke 0 - 1 West Ham; Ashton.

West Ham 1 - 0 Sunderland; C.Cole.

Very disappointed to go out early in the FA cup, now only having the league to focus on we would have to look to better the top-half finish I promised the board and look to reach Europe. Only problem is that the 'Big Four' and a Man City team who spent £194mil have pulled clear from the rest of the pack. League form has been inconsistent and with a tough run of fixtures up next we would do well to stay in the top half of the table as it is extremely close in the middle of the table. Behrami was February player of the month and Collison was February young player of the month. Transfer wise I was happy with the sales and very happy with being able to turn Ilunga's loan deal into a permanent one as he has performed consistently in the left back slot all season.

Looks like you're having an inconsistent season, what with winning at home to Liverpool but losing at home to Hull. You're consistently around 8th and 9th though, and with a bit of luck you could push on for a European place  How far are you off 5th at the moment?

@ JSalter - Yeah I know, a little bit frustrating. A long way off 5th, like I said Man City + The Big 4 pulled clear, 13 points off Arsenal in 5th as of this update.

It was a great 2 months really. Managing to get 4 points from 4 games against the top 5 clubs this season, as well as a win against European rivals Villa. The match against Middlesborough was the only real sour note. Portsmouth, Hull, Blackburn and Tottenham left to play with 3 at home - lots of potential to gain points there.

Disappointing last 4 fixtures lead to an overall disappointing season. Poor performance in the cups out of both in the 3rd round and failure to meet the top-half finish expected of me as we dropped down to 11th, one place below the teams finishing position last season, after the last game of the season. Definitely something to build upon next season though.

Rob Green - Now England's number one starting everyone of there games this season, he played 36 games keeping 12 clean sheets and getting an average rating of 6.89.

Herita Ilunga - Started every game at left-back contributing 4 assists and earning his permanent move to Upton Park in January, although form dipped after this.

Mark Noble - 36 League games, scoring 9 goals and getting 4 assists with an average rating of 7.05, it won't be long before an England call-up. Was also fans player of the year.

Dean Ashton - 10 goals in 25 league games is fantastic considering the number of times he had to come off injured or play when not completely match fit. We would have been top-half possibly European places if he had stayed fit.

Valon Behrami - Made it into the Players' Premier Division Select XI at right-back although played more games in right midfield.

Jack Collison - The versatile young midfielder would fill in for whoever was injured in the midfield. Had 26 starts and 10 sub appearances in the league scoring 3 and setting 5 up. Bright future.

Carlton Cole - 33 games, 10 goals and 8 assists. His best ever season.

The board have also announced the stadium is to be expanded by 5,520 seats taking 3 months to complete and scheduled to finish beginning of September.

Transfer Targets:

These will depend on who I can sell and whether I can keep hold of my best players. Although a young goalkeeper to be Green's understudy is needed and a more experienced striker to provide competition for C.Cole and Ashton.

Tom Evans

According to Steve Clarke he has 3* in this screenshot with 5* potential. He's not that impressive really but on a free when stuck down with injuries not to bad.

I will also now be updating at the end of December and the end of the season rather then every 2 months.

Well since my last post I decided to give Dafuge's Challenge a go and play it alongside this one but I did something dodgy to my game trying to get the DDT file to work, don't know what exactly. Reinstalled and patched up and everything works again although I deleted everything saves, badges etc. before doing this, therefore have lost this save (along with others like my Leicester save 5 seasons in :() Gutted as I was enjoying it in this extra spare time I've got at the moment. So this can be closed, probably won't start a save as West Ham again will probably start a new Leicester one so if I was to write here again this thread wouldn't be relevant.
