mg539
I'm trying to develop more British talent, but i was wondering if you send them out on loan, do they still count as being trained at club?? For example I've signed a 17 year old Englishman from Newcastle, so count as being trained at the club, he needs to spend the next 3 years training for me. Do these have to be in the reserves or can I send him on loan, aiding his development? Thanks in advance to anyone who knows who replies!
michaeltmurrayuk
Yes you can send them on loan. In the squad screen if you select the Homegrown view it will tell you when your players are due to become homegrown.
mg539
so it won't take longer for them to gain home-grown status?
phnompenhandy
No, not at all.
Murf666
I have sent a young Italian player out on loan from Everton to two different clubs in the Championship for the first two full seasons out of the three and a half he's spent in England. He now registers as having trained at Everton (not just as having trained in England).
