TheShamanOfFm Posted June 26, 2009 Share Posted June 26, 2009 okay i looked at my computer specs and all of a sudden my processor speed has went from 1.99 Ghz to 998 Mhz? :S can anyone explaine why and also i installed AMD drivers if this may have an effect on it :S? It is either; A) An energy saving device on your CPU where in idle mode the core frequency drops to save energy B) after installing new AMD drivers it has changed your clock multiplier in the bios... it's a bit confusing but pop over to www.tomshardware.co.uk and there are millions of similar probs...
