Declared for nation

I do not know if this is already said or done, but a player who made a boy/youth or U21 game for a nation can play for another nation as long as the player did not play an a-international for the other nation. (training matches do not apply).

It's a very recent rule change. Look at the dates of these articles:

Ahhh, sorry, I thought Jonne was reffering to the rule that they can switch nations - not that the age limit had been removed. My bad

At least that's what I interpreted the OP to be asking about. The reference to Jermaine Jones (who played something like 3 senior friendlies for Germany and is now at 27? years old is switching to the U.S.) relates to the new rule change.

I hope they will fix that, So maybe a brazil player who played a lot of u21 could change nation if they play a few years in another country!
