Kamitsukenu
Hi there, This is probably a silly question, but I am about to reformat my laptop; what do I need to backup to play my saved game for when I reinstall the game? Will there be any issues when I put the key back in? I have the boxed version of FM 2009 btw. Thanks
ahmufcwafc
Just back up any graphics packs you might have downloaded. You might want to keep the patch installer if you still have it around. You just need the same patch and database on your computer for the save file to work.
Bartman2008
When i re-installed my copy onto a new PC, Steam already remembered the license key from my profile so I just had to copy it to the clipboard and paste in. The only things i backed up were obviously the saved games, my tactics folder and schedules folder.
crouchaldinho
I would just copy the whole of the personal user file. That is the file that sits in your user area called 'sports interactive'. That way you will keep all tactics, training schedules, graphics, database changes and games. C.

Amaroq
That's exactly what I did - I kept the Users | Amaroq | Documents | Sports Interactive folder.
