Keeping injury prone players fit

Basically i have a young regen who potentially could become one of the best players at the club, however he's constantly injured and on my assistant's report he says the players injury proneness is a weakness. During the current seasons he's been injured 6 times (its only november) 3 in training and 3 in matches. My current training is tugs training. Is there anything i can do to keep him injury free

I've got a similar player, a 17-y-o regen. His training is light enough that he isn't getting injured in training, but it seems like he takes a knock every other match or so.

Is there any way to improve his hidden Injury Proneness attribute, or to otherwise protect him in matches? (Easy tackling, maybe?)
