BigRedMart
When a player has "mistake led to goal" and his rating plumits what do you do? Is it best to tell him you have faith, get angry or just sub him?
Katarian
If it was really his mistake I normally sub them if it's the second half. Normally though I will just ignore it as the game is pretty bad at blaming players for non mistakes, i.e. shot rebounds of one of your players and falls to opposition player who scores that isn't a mistake in my book. Ediocy
I think it depends on the situation and perhaps even on the player himself. If it is a player whom I know to be usually reliable, I would let him play on and ask him to "prove a point" or tell him "I have faith" in him. I have witnessed players who had "mistake led to goal" under their motivation post ratings of between 6 to 7 at the end of matches, which was not bad at all. If it is a young player or when I know I have a better option currently on the bench, I would usually take him off to prevent him from committing any further mistakes on the pitch. These are my personal experiences though, and I am not sure what actually governs a player's recovery from a mistake.
