Ups and Downs

Here I am in my 7th season after bringing a team from the Blue Star Premier and getting to Div 1. I find myself in the 4th round of the FA cup against Blackburn Rovers. We we given no chance but managed to beat them 4-3 away from home. I felt absolutlely elated. The next 3 games against bottom of the div were all 1-0 defeats which we should have beaten easily. Now thats going from from feeling really great to feeling P*ssed off.

Lol, in response to this thread, and your other thread - I hope you're not gonna come here and complain everytime you lose a bunch of games!

Me complain, far from it. I think FM is the best game ever, even got every version since its birth as Champ Manager in 1993 on the Amiga. Although I did have a slight winge when it first changed over to FM and the 2D match engine as it had changed so much I took me ages to work it out. Now I'll probably spen another 5 years to work out the best tactics.

It's called barnsley syndrome - they beat liverpool and chelsea yet struggled in their league - football is a generally crazy world, and SI do one hell of a good job recreating it.

One other reason why I like FM version 2008 is its because its easier on my eyes, especially as I am an old timer. Free bus pass very soon.
