Ediocy
Staying on his feet indeed. It is both irritating and comical to watch your defender committing himself too early in the tackle and ending up on his bum while the opposing player has yards of space to waltz into a one-on-one situation with your goalkeeper. Mike7077
I rate very few defenders who habitually go to ground. And before you throw Nemanja Vidic at me, don't. He doesn't automatically go to ground. Most of his best work is done on his feet, making himself an immovable obstacle.
golfpunk
Much prefer 'stay's on his feet' because it lowers the risk of your team conceding freekicks in the dangerous area's of the pitch from what I consider needlessly diving into a challenge and increasing the chance of giving away a foul.
