Are good Football Managers born or made?

Recommended Posts

I've not been any good at either of the last two iterations of Football Manager, and I have tried to master tactics with minimal effect. I've read the guides in the T&T Forum and although I feel like I know more about the game and the sliders and everything, I can't actually apply that and my results haven't improved.

Is it possible that being able to play Football Manager well, and win with a poor team through clever tactics and transfers, is a natural talent rather than a learnable skill? Or is there another characteristic that leads to someone being good at FM? Discuss.

it all depends on your potential ability, adaptability and training facilities..

:p

Its possible to learn how to master it - for some it takes years, and for others hours, depending on how good you are at understanding what happens in ME and translate it into the sliders. For me, it usually takes a couple of weeks before Im starting to get any success..
