kerr
how do you offer an aging player a place on your coaching staff? i've always wonders if anyone has actually done it. like giggs or scholes for instance
weeeman27bob
I think, if they intend to become a coach, a coaching attributes page appears on their player profile and you can offer them a contract through there. Try telling the players you can believe they can make it as a coach/scout too
kerr
giggs says he is definitely staying in the game, i've told him he'd make a good coach. no coaching attributes as yet.
Elrithral
It isn't immediate, it will take time and some players don't display coach attributes until they retire from the game.

Stevicus
If you play the first season sometimes giggs anounces retirement near the end. On FM08 i used to speed up the retirement decision by sticking them in the reserves squad and not playing them On FM09 stick them in the undr 18 squad, the reserves is almost the first team anyway
