I've been enjoying the game, and couldn't give 3 pokes of a lambs ass about the data update since I'll want to stick to what's accurate at the start of the game in July '08, but could not face playing any longer with a patch coming at end of month. Currently, when not out having a life, I'm knocking about between Race Driver Grid and COD5 on the PS3, and MTW II on the PC, but it's amazing how quickly they all get boring compared to FM.
