Well we got our first defeat of the season away in Morocco, but we stormed back in the second leg to undo any damage and advance to the semi finals. In the league we have continued to win every game. In the cup we are good as through against Moxico after that first leg result.

The win against Sagrada Esperanca handed us the title, with two months of the season yet to go.

We are already champions, the last job left to do is what we just fell short doing last season and that is to win the remaining 5 games of the season.

The Angolan Cup kicked in this month and we managed to dispatch Moxico, Santa Rita and look good value to get past Primeiro de Agosto. In the Champions League we defeated Kaizer Chiefs to set up the final against Mazembe. In the league we bagged another win.

We have already won the league and 4 wins away from completing something that I am sure will never be completed again.

Disappointing end to the season in the end. Mazembe scored 4 goals in extra time to kill us off in the Champions League and Primeiro de Agosto beat us in our own back yard to kill off our unbeaten season. We did win the cup however.

The league ends up looking like this. We finish 13 points ahead of Primeiro de Agosto. At the other end of the table Academica Soyo, Sagrada Esperanca and CR Caala go down.

Players of the Season 2020

Brandao has been brilliant. The average rating is well above 8, but the most amazing stat is the number of assist he has provided with over 50 this season, he has improved so much as a player and he is an exciting talent for this team.

He has been a goal machine this season and has fed off the brilliant service Brandao has provided him, he has managed to force his way into the team and that is quite an achievement here.

Filhao has been a brilliant servant to this club, Injury curtailed his involvement a bit this season, but he has still involved in so much of our best play this season that he deserves to be on this list.

That Champions League turn around for TP Mazembe

I've voted yes, think it's time for a fresh challenge and see if you can take another African side to continental glory.

Tell me about it, shocked me when they came back.

We'll see what the final verdict is when the poll closes at 6.

Severino is the new manager of AS Otoho. I was probably out of work for about a month or so before this opportunity came up. AS Otoho play their football in the Congo, not to be confused with DR Congo, their larger neighbour. Here is to a fruitful relationship and hopefully legendary status in the future.

The season is on us pretty quick, no time for a real preseason. The odds see us 7th favourites for the title and since we are not playing African football this season, we can concentrate on this and the cup. It will be tough I am sure, there are lots of area to improve in the team.

February 2021

February has been a pretty good month, we picked up a good point against one of the better teams in Congo in Etoile away from home, so I am happy about that. We are showing some very good solidity and mental strength.

We sit top of the league, something to be very proud about so far, but we need to keep resolve to make sure that we can continue our good form. It is clear to me that this league has plenty of good teams at the top end of the league that we are going to have to overcome over the season.

We picked up a very nice win against Diables Noirs, but suffered a bit of a humbling against AC Leopards, whom already look like the favourites for the title this season.

We retain top spot by just 1 point. Leopards are still unbeaten but they have dropped a few draws. The top four already look like the likely top four for the season if you ask me.

April 2021

Our form has dropped off markedly this month as we drew three and lost one of the games. I will need to see what I can do to resolve that, but things are going not as well as I hoped considering our early season form.

We are now in third place, and now a good 8 points behind leader Leopard. It's going to be very tough now to catch them. We are five points ahead of Etoile for the African places so to be honest if we can qualify for Africa this season I would not be too dissappointed, but I am worried about our form at the moment.

May 2021

A pretty good month for us as we improve our form markedly. A draw against Leopards was good although they scored late to equalise so we can look at it as lost opportunity. Another draw against Kondzo, was a bit disappointing but in general the other games we have done fantastic.

a94cc4c408bb8a2a5b41ac07caba437f.png

We are still third, and five points behind Leopards whom have a game in hand. In many way nothing has really changed. We are now ahead of CARA Brazzaville by 10 points, but they do have 4 games in hand for some reason. Things from here could either go south or north pretty quickly.

Well the first part of the months went well. The second part, pretty much ended our season. Losing to Etoile was really bad, losing to Tourbillon who are right down the bottom of the league might mean we miss out on African football next season. Really disappointed in the capitulation on our part. However in the cup we are doing well, and are now in the semi finals where we play Tourbillon.

ff341522c8f769b448ede1005025079a.png

We are now fourth, and really taking games in hand into account should be 5th and out of the African qualification places. Four games for us to save ourselves

Early August 2021

So we destroyed Torbillon in the cup, just a bloody shame we blew it against them in the league, and it gives us our first opportunity for a piece of silverware. The win against Diables Noirs was an absolutely must and we obliged.

cf1b00d444b0441ed73702b89e7c0cdf.png

So we are in 5th and it is looking very difficult now to get in those African competition places. It's so tight at the top that this can still go a number of ways.
