roggiotis Posted March 9, 2018 Author Share Posted March 9, 2018 The formation will be 4-1-4-1 because 1) i like this system 2)i feel lucky because i saw that enough players can play in ML/MR positions which i think its rare in FM 3)there are no 2 strikers problem of course is that i don't know the players IRL , i hope Jamie Clapham ,my ass manager help me to choose the right players In the pre-season i saw some things My thoughts are GK defenders Wide midfielders this one can also play as a striker Striker , but i have many doubts if he is good MC Position i prefer in MC because i have many options in the flanks MC + DM positions its an enigma Maybe the best defensively in DM position ,he can play in DR,DL too -I have some general preferences which are mentality depends on the opposite and the situation ,but team shape always fluid -Roles i prefer wide midfielders because you can decide if you want him to cut inside or run wide in the midfielder 3 the DM is always on defend duty ,either BWM,DMor A the other 2 are 1 support (Mezzala or CM,or B2b) and 1 attack (Mezzala or CM) ,always depending from the players ,opposition, performance etc. striker ,F9 or CF(S) i don't use playmaker roles ,except if anyone consider the Mezzala or the F9 as a playmaker. i don't think 4-1-4-1 is only a defensive system , i think its the best attacking system . The earlier you lose the better, it offers nothing. So vs Mansfield i pressed full rotation , with the hope to lose But my players didnt want that.
