Delvor
This is what I've been looking for thankyou, but does anyone know how to you change attribute colours in a skin that has no settings notepad?
iTry
Get the default settings.xml file by extracting the settings.fmf file with the resource archiver and then place that settings.xml into the settings folder and edit the attribute colours as you wish. Delvor
so do you need to create a folder for the SKin? I am using netbook09, which isn't in a folder. I tried doing this once and the skin disapeared from the preferences lsit.
michaeltmurrayuk
You'll need to use the resource tool to extract the netbook09.fmf file to the skins folder. You should then have access to the colour files in the netbook09/settings folder that you can edit. (After you have extracted the netbook09.fmf file you can move or delete the fmf version of the skin otherwise you'll have two versions in the preferences screen and you'd need to work out which one is the modified one). Delvor
Thanks for this help, its a nice skin by the way. I have extracted the netbook09.fmf file to the skins folder but there isn't a netbook09/settings folder
michaeltmurrayuk
When you have extracted the netbook09.fmf file you should end up with a netbook09 folder within your skins folder and the following folders within the netbook09 folder:
Delvor
Hmm, in my skins folder the netbook stuff is out in the open, no subfolder for Netbook09 was created. The 3 files that are there are a config xml, the read me file and netbook09.fmf which cannot be extracted any further.
michaeltmurrayuk
You need to use the Resource Archiver that came with the game, it will be located within the folder that you installed FM09 to within the \tools\resource archiver folder. Run the Resource Archiver Tool. Click Extract Archive, browse to where you put the netbook09.fmf file. Select the netbook09.fmf file click select, now browse to my doc/sports interactive/football manager 2009/ folder highlight the skins folder and click select. It should now extract the netbook09.fmf file into your skins folder, so you'll have the folders in my screenshot above. You just then need to go into the settings folder and modify the files.
