  1. I had the same when Accrington got promoted to Championship - seems to be a bug.
  2. I had been slowly preparing for hard brexit by buying a lot of British talents. However, I ended up getting soft brexit, so now I'm only focusing on getting CHG/HG players in general.
  3. It'll ruin a lot more than than once it actually happens IRL.
  4. I play him as AML (Winger/attack). He also takes all corners and free kicks. Basically I got him as my direct replacement for Coutinho when I sold him off.
  5. January 2022 came and went, and I did a bit of housekeeping. Clyne went to Betis on loan for the rest of the season. I hope to sell him in the summer. Sturridge and Lovren, both returned to the club on free transfers in July 2021, have both agreed to move to the USA. They will leave mid-February. Will Hughes got tired of being behind Dele Alli, and left for Watford for £20M. And finally, I got an offer of £30M for Sadio Mané from Real. Now, Mané is a good player, granted. But he's also 29, and I've got two very talented right-wingers ready to take his place. So off he went. My firs
  6. Late November 2021 here. This season has so far given me nothing but victories. 27 games won in a row and counting - next up, home games v Everton and Accrington (League Cup). The last game I didn't win was a 0-1 defeat to Hull back in mid-April. My 23-man first team squad has 9 Club Homegrown players and 8 Nation Homegrown players at this point. My 30-man U-23 team (with loads loaned out) has 16 Club homegrowns, several of which are severely knocking on the door for the first team squad. My U18 squad is basically only club HG's, with a few to become so within 2½ years. I haven't real
  7. I sold Coutinho for £80M and brought in Thomas Lemar instead. Lemar is just as good as Coutinho plus he's a MASSIVE threat on free-kicks. With Lemar and Ojo, I haven't missed Coutinho at all.
  8. I just finished up my fifth season. Won the Premier League for the fourth time in a row, but didn't win anything else. Got kicked out of both FA Cup and ChL by Man Utd, who keeps being my strongest rival, mostly because of De Gea. I sold off Isco and Roberto Firmino (£60M each), and bought back Dele Alli to replace Isco. (I had sold Alli to Real ½ a year earlier). Firmino was already basically replaced by super-regen Wilfried Thomas. My starting lineup these days are: Donnarumma - Trent, Rugani, Stones, Grimaldo - Maia - Alli, Henderson - Mane, Lemar - Thomas.
  9. Wahoo! I got the nice Brexit, no changes to foreign players or work permit system from EU.
  10. Right. My fourth season in charge has ended. The league was a record-beating awesomeness with 33 wins and 5 draws, making me win it with 22 points margin to second-placed Man U: I also won FA Cup, Club World Cup, Super Cup, Charity Shield. Lost 2-1 to FC Bayern in the CL final, but I'm pretty happy with the haul in general Some of my young talents are properly breaking through now. Trent Alexander has taken over from Clyne on Right-back, while Wilfried Thomas is my first-choice backup for Firmino. Lucas Moura has been sold off to give space for my next big talent, Pau Nevado, in th
  11. My sales in my current ongoing LFC save. I do not have China/USA loaded. I've got 11 nations and 15 leagues. In other words, I am certainly not experiencing the same problem with selling players. Season 1: Lucas, to China, £11M Tiago Ilori, Villa, £1.5M Klavan, Celta, £7M Moreno, So'ton, £15M Season 2: Lallana, Marseille, £30M Sakho, Barca, £19M Mignolet, Milan, £8M Can, PSG, £70M Lovren, PSG, £33M Karius, Sheff W, £8M Ings, Hoffenheim, £7M Wijnaldum, Shakhtar, £15M Stewart, Stoke, £4M Ward, WBA, £1.5M Sturridge, So'ton, £20M Allan, Vancouver, £500k Sea
  12. Nope. Injuries can reduce the chance of the player REACHING the PA set in the database. But the PA is a completely static piece of data, once a player has gotten a PA set by the game, that PA will never, ever change, no matter what happens. Do note that I am talking about the actual hidden number in the database, not any coach or scout assessment in game, as that is a completely different thing from the PA number.
  13. February 2020, transfer window just closed. Grabbed John Stones for £50M after I had spent a good year on unsettling him. Out went Butland for £20M (he wanted out as he couldn't compete with The Don), Gomez for £33M (again, couldn't compete with Rugani, Matip and Stones + several bigger talents on the way) and Guidetti for £20M (bad buy, but at least I didn't lose money on him.)
  14. So how's the big teams been doing in your saves? Any surprises? For me, they've finished like this: Arsenal: 4, 4, 4 Chelsea: 6, 6, 5 LFC: 3, 1, 1 Man U: 1, 2, 3 Man C: 2, 8, 8 Spurs: 5, 3, 2 After 10 games of my fourth season, Chelsea seems to have found their stride again, Man U's still up there, Arsenal's 4th as always. Spurs are having some problems at 6th, and City can't string together anything and are currently in 14th spot. I am really, really hoping to persuade Stones and Sterling to come to Liverpool from there, so I hope that they stay there..
  15. I never sell Milner. His experience is invaluable for my youngster-team, and he can cover so many positions and roles. After the first season, I negotiated a new contract that lowered his wages by 30%, which solved the main problem with having him in the squad, imo. I got 30M for Lallana after first season, as he was a first-team regular and star player for me. I really didn't want to sell him, but he wanted out.
  16. Right. My third season as Liverpool boss is over, and what a season. I managed to win the PL again, and also won the Champions League, beating Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, Barcelona and finally Leverkusen (!?) to win it. Now I need to figure out my squad for next year. A few changes will happen, as always, but I'm planning on a more relaxed transfer window than I've had previously. I've grabbed Will Hughes from City for £10M and John Guidetti from Bayern for £20M - those two will do the trick for now, I think. So far, from the surplus store, I've gotten rid of Cathcart, Kent and Grabar
  17. Right, in March 2019. Got kicked out of both EFL and FA cup. Met Real in 1st knockout round of CL, and lost 4-3 on Bernabeu in the first leg. I'm leading PL quite securely though, which is what really matters to me. The loss of Coutinho hasn't really hurt me, as Lemar has basically slotted straight in. In some ways he's a big improvement, as Lemar is very, very dangerous with his free kicks and corners. In January, I sold off Origi for £60M. He was doing quite well, but he was backup to Firmino, and young Wilfried Thomas could do the same job Origi did anyways. There are rumours aboun
  18. Right, the summer transfer window of 2018 is over. Only big sale was Coutinho, who went to Real Madrid for £80M. In instead came Thomas Lemar for £40M, Butland for £10M, Grimaldo for £33M and a whole bunch of mostly British youngsters. So, as per September 1st, my 22-man first team squad is like this: 3 Club Homegrown + 8 Country Homegrown. And Donnarumma becomes Club homegrown next summer. Half of my first team squad is British. That is acceptable. (Comparison at this point: Man Utd 5/23, Chelsea 1/23, Man City 5/23, Arsenal 4/23, Spurs 7/23) My current U23-squad has 32 players. 1
  19. Right. Second season over. I won the Premier League, EFL Cup and Community Shield. Semi-finals in FA Cup and Champs League. All in all a pretty good season: I gave a LOT of youngsters their debuts this season. I know some of them will never cut it here, but I do like giving them the chance, if nothing else to make them sale material. I've already agreed deals with a few players, the biggest one being Alex Grimaldo, who's going to solve my left-back problem, leaving Milner free to be a squad player. Other than that I'm signing a couple of newgens. Real is seriously hunting Coutinh
  20. Lucas Moura seems to end on the transfer list pretty early on. I managed to snatch him for £16M.
  21. Oh ffs. 30 games unbeaten in PL, and then Spurs away shows up. Record's now 24-6-1 after a 1-2 loss in London. As long as they have Kane, they'll take me out. Seems the spring bad form has returned to haunt me. Nervous players not dealing well with being title favorites. The loss at Spurs was followed up by a 0-2 loss in Monaco (4-3 win aggregate tho), and 1-1 home v Sunderland. Next up: Man City and Norwich, both home. Need to get out of the bad form fast as I've also got an FA Cup semi v Arsenal and a CL semi v Barcelona coming up..
  22. I think most serious FM-players have done that. Don't worry, you're not a special snowflake
  23. Here we watch stuff on the big screen while I have FM running on the secondary monitor. She will typically be busy modding Skyrim or grinding quests in an MMO as well. My times with FM are the days we catch up on TV-shows and movies
