Defending on this game is nothing but ridiculous.

Defenders giving possession away too easily, missing headers, players staying still watching the opposition attacker do whatever they want...

You're being generous here pal, it's actually disgraceful pretty annoying we have to wait until December for it to be hopefully sorted, very disappointed in this years FM

  2. Wanted to refrain from making this mainly because I love the game and buy it without question year after year and have done since FM 2006 but this years FM although only the beta has left me and others disappointed and I'd say the backlash is pretty much justified. It just seems like an update from FM 22.

Press conferences have the same tedious questions

The graphics haven't been changed in forever and I know a lot of people will say 'play FIFA if you're looking for great graphics' whilst thats partly true that doesn't mean FM should neglect it.

I don't know I'm guess I'm just venting because I love the game so much but I hope SI are taking note of this backlash or are they going to do a FIFA where they barely improve anything minor a small tweak and constantly give us nonsense

  3. I done these a few FMs ago might've been the year FM introduced DOFs so I assume now they're a better but I want to know if anyones done the following and how they've found it.

    1) DOF in charge of negotiating - So you find the players you add them as a target and the DOF does the negotiating (done it on an older FM but I found he could never close the deal might have been the quality of DOF)

    2) Leave the DOF in charge of every transfer - So you're just essentially a head coach all the transfers are done by the DOF (Done this on an older one found that he just signed random players in positions I didn't need)

Have any of you done this on the new FMs if so how did you find it

It's a well known problem that's been there ever since Fergie left Man U.  The trouble is the disparity between the ratings of the players and how they actually perform IRL.  Whatever is really wrong at Man U is not something that SI have ever been able to recreate in the game.

In my current save I got fed up with OGS winning things and added a new manager to force him out, resigning as soon as he was gone.  Man U still end up dominating, but at least they ended up with a decent manager who you could believe the results were coming from.

Usually on long-term saves Man U, Man City, Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea end up dominating between them in the first 25-30 years.

At least it isn't as bad as Ligue 1 in France where PSG just keep winning for the first 50 years.

Granted this is the only save I've done but the leagues always contested by United and Liverpool even then United always pull away at the turn of the year. City have always finished 6th or lower. Very bizarre. Is there a hidden team attribute or something

  5. Anyone else find that United (Man UFC) are way too good on FM in comparison to actual life an example on my save I'm in my 6th season United have won the league in 5 of those 6 seasons.

In comparison to City who are quite underpowered in the same save 6th season they've never finished in the top 4

Has anyone else found these two teams in particular over and underpowered by FM

Yeah I read about that too. That combined with the fact that theres no way Dortmund would turn down a structured 80-100m deal for him given their finances In real life. It's very annoying. Oh well I'll have to see if dortmund win nothing then they'll be more willing to sell him at the end of the season.

I did manage to snag Moukoko from them for 20 mill though so all is not lost lol.

exactly and given their model in real life is to buy low and sell big. Might have to play the long game and declare interest and set as top target with Haaland

Since the new patch he's impossible to sign , at least for me with Man Utd. I offered a structured deal of up to 200m which they flat out declined. Which is kinda ridiculous given everyone knows that dortmund are skint now.

No issues with him wanting to play for me dortmund just flat out won't accept any offers , start of first season on this save literally just installed the latest winter patch !

Pretty annoying especially as he's meant to have a release clause in his contract to worth around 55-60mil

  8. In theory it sounds like a stupid question because it's in the name you improve your training facilities so if we're talking real life the training facilities will be better you'd have the latest technology, wide range of equipment and more but how does it translate to FM ? Whats the benefit of improving your training facilities ? I think we all like to try and get our facilities to state of the art after being there for a few years. I'm assuming the better the facilities the more likely the first team players have of reaching their full potential
